Newest Mocean365 Produced Video

Here is the latest video i put together from the RhinoFest in Plainfield VT. It was a great weekend of music and activities for all that i would recommend highly for all ages. The event is put on by Ryan from Local Potion which is a great brewers/winemakers supply store right in Plainfield.
Good vibes all around. Shot this in between hawking the Mocean mate' as a vendor.

Mocean365 Spring and Summer Programs

Well the long winter up here in north-central VT continues with snow depths still in the waist high range in the woods but we are gearing up for spring anyway. For those of you new to Mocean365, we have switched over to ONLY OUTDOOR TRAINING. That means all winter, all conditions, and the crew has been charging through one of the snowiest winters in a hundred years. Mocean365 has been working with schools, individuals and classes and spreading the stoke of moving the body dynamically 365 days a year.

We combine adventure into all elements of our programs and this spring-summer will be no exception. Want to train for an adventure race like the Spartan Race or get ready to ride your bikes at the Kingdom Trails? Or maybe you  want to increase your joint mobility, coordination and balance so you can chase the kids around or bang nails all day pain free? Mocean365 has an option for all of you and we also are proud to offer nutrition counseling in conjunction with Rootswise Wellness so you can not only work your body to its limit physically but ensure you know how to replenish so you can recover, rebuild and keep making gains. We will be continuing our work with Exuberant Animal ensuring we add moves from the Exuberant Animal handbook that encourage team building and FUN into all elements of our workouts.

We incorporate variety and adventure into every session. You may be using a Indo Board balance board, then a Mocean365 custom designed weighted stick, then climbing a steep sandhill, then walking across a Gibbon slackline, then traversing a slippery side slope in the woods mimicking the animals that live there. You may be using a TRX suspension trainer, then carry a turkish bag, use a  Rubberbanditz resistance band while closing your eyes and balancing on 1 foot then work on basic combat skills, climb a local peak, ride a pumptrack on your mountain bike, meet new like minded people and prepare for whatever life may throw at us! And of course we can drink some Mocean Mate' which is a energy tea created specifically to help you Energize Your Adventures!

Mocean365 can design a custom program for you as an individual, as your own small group of friends and family, as a custom class or we can come to your school, workplace or home and help you move the body the way it was designed. Have fun far away from any gym or "scene", in the great outdoors with a leader dedicated to taking you to your next level, whatever that may be.

Contact us today to get started, we can come to you or you to us but we only work with dedicated people who have made the decision that they want to live a movement adventure 365 days a year. We work on a sliding scale financially as well so NO ONE is excluded due to financial standing. We are looking for passion, not money. Mocean365 attends "Boot Cancer" competition in St Albans Vermont.

The Mocean365 crew just got back from the 2010 Boot Cancer Event in St Albans, Vermont with some awards to go along with their sore muscles. The team was comprised of Jen Grant, Brad Grant, Angel Roy,  Chris Thompson, Megan Walsh and Skye Nacel along with the support crew of Bethany and Pierce Thompson and Pam Hansen.
The First event of the day was a circuit comprised of 1 minute of the following movements… rowing, pushups with hands elevated at bottom, box jumps/step ups, 30 meter shuttle run, and Kettlebell Thrusters. All were done consecutively until done with each round, where a one minute rest was allowed for a total of three rounds. The team pushed on hard through the burn.

The second event was Tire flipping and Sandbag carrying. The format was as follows.
25 meter tire flips, 25 meter sand bag carries and one 400 meter run.
Tires (200lbs for Men, 100lbs for Women)
Sandbags (60lbs for Men, 30lbs for Women)
Start:
Flip tire
Run back to start
Grab sandbag(s) (Men to carry two 30lb sandbags and Women carry one 30lb sandbag) and run to tire
Flip tire
Grab sandbag(s) and run
Run back
Flip tire
Run back
Grab sandbag(s) and run
Flip tire
Grab sandbag(s) and run
Now bring back all of your sandbags to the starting line (you can carry more than one)
Once all sandbags are across the starting line stacked in your tire, run 400 meters once
This turned out to be a very grueling but spectator friendly event with the whole crew yelling and screaming for their teams. Super fun! I was able to come in second overall in this event due to pounding a bunch of Mate minutes before my heat. Also being barefoot allowed me the freedom to maintain a rhythm that i may not have been able to do if i was shod.

Aaron Fondry  won the event overall and is a undefeated mixed martial artist who has some big upcoming fight so props to him for training hard and coming out on top. We’ll see if i can close the gap on him a bit next year?
Our team had the top fundraiser individual,Jen Grant and we were the top fund raising team overall. We even put some people on the podium too with Megan tied for second in her class while I somehow won my class and finished third overall for the event, not bad for an old surf bum eh.?  Big props to all of the team who set a goal, stuck with it and NEVER gave up!So proud of everyone on the team for their hard work and determination which is so f^&*%ing inspiring!!
We raised some money for cancer while spreading the word about movement  and set a team goal and completed it and heck maybe made some people give some thoughts to taking off the “foot condoms”(shoes), in the process?!
Big thanks to the organizer Lisa, all the volunteers and sponsors and spectators and to our great support crew Bethany and Pierce and friends and family who offered support and donations to the cause as well. We are already getting ready for next year!
