Team Mocean365 in action in the snow
this is us the first day of winter 2008!
The last week has been sick with steady amounts of snowfall continuing to blanket us here in Northern Vermont. Vange and I are back from a riding adventure at J Peak where we got some face shots in the glades during the storm that dumped over 2 feet when it was said and done. Meg came up and we found some pow stashes in the woods at one of our favorite areas, so fun.
I got the bright idea of towing us into the pow at high speed was the only way to have some real fun. i drove first and told Chad B that he would be fine...heee heee. So towed the guinea pig in and sure as shit, it worked pretty sweet. We took turns towing in and got the right speed and where to hit and NOT to hit. Some pretty gnarly wipeouts took place with Chad getting cartwheeled through the field at one point at around 30 MPH. Vange took a couple pretty nasty crashes too including one that Chad thought for sure would take her down for the count but...SHE IS VANGE!
Got my share of whitewashes as well including a shot to the knee that felt like a hammer.
Overall it was sick and fun way to spend the day before the storm.
Also i started a back yard half pipe that should turn out pretty sweet and good way to learn how to ride one. Will be back out at it shaping and getting it ready to work. Never built one before so trial and error will be the way.
The next day Vange and I headed up to Jay and got some fresh tracks and fun lines. Slept in the parking lot at Jay that night and thought we were gonna get blown over in the HEAVY winds. Woke up in the morning to 14 plus and still dumping. The glades were full of snow and we got some of our first face shots of the winter that DIDN"T involve getting towed behind a moving vehicle at high speed.
Keep in mind this is the day before the REAL snow hit.
