Fitness in the Forest with Mocean365

Mocean365 has teamed up with the St Johnsbury Recreation Department to bring "Fitness in the Forest with Mocean365" to the Northeast Kingdom of Vermont. Here is the official press release from the Caledonian Record newspaper.

St. J Rec Introduces Fitness in the Forest

"Mocean 365 fitness guru Skye Nacel will soon be leading a series of challenging workouts guaranteed to work your body the way it was designed. The “Fitness in the Forest” series begins Monday, May 4th at 5:30pm at the Rotary Pavilion in the Town Forest and will run six consecutive weeks. The goal of the class is to help participants increase flexibility, strength, conditioning, balance, endurance, posture and overall performance while having fun in a great outdoor setting. Nacel says to “Expect plenty of good old fashioned “Rocky” style movements like squats, lunges, pushups, dips along with medicine ball work, the creative use of trees, logs, old tires, sprints, and intervals to gain new upper and lower body strength. We’ll progress into the “New School” with the Indo Board Balance Trainer, TRX Suspension Trainer, the 360 Board, hurdles, power bands and more. The program is progressive and will be modified for different fitness levels for clients with a clean bill of health from their doctor.”

Nacel, a Danville resident, has been certified by the IFPA, NCSF, Renegade Training, and will soon be adding ISSA Strength and Conditioning Specialist. His business Mocean 365 is a combination of his passions for action sports photography and conditioning. He is CPR Certified and a member of IDEA and a member of Indo Board Fitness Advisory Board. According to Recreation Director Joe Fox “He is one of the most energetic and inspiring people you will ever meet. Skye has a great ability to meet people where they are at and push them to beyond their self imposed limits. He creates an awesome atmosphere in classes where people push each other in a totally friendly and supportive manner. His lifestyle is a testament to the value of fitness. I have skied and snowboarded several times with Skye, and the guy rips! Whatever your passion is in life, these classes will take your performance to the next level.”
