So there is so much talk right now about change and revolution. And change by the masses can really spark some amazing transformations as history shows. But what does that mean for everyone. Can you be a revolutionary by NOT taking to the streets? The answer it seems is yes. To Revolt can mean many things. You can revolt against the fact that you despise your job and want to spend more time with family and loved ones.
You can revolt and say enough is enough, "I'm gonna get in shape" or "Gonna dust off that guitar and make her sing". And guess what?
That acting of revolting though it may seem personal or even selfish(don't get me started); can have amazing implications and EFFECT on not just your life, but those of others. And that is how change begins. One at a time. Opening eyes and hearts not to bend to YOUR way but for people to find, discover or REDISCOVER their own. The classic, "don't give a man a fish, teach a man to fish" mantra.
The video below may seem to be about one man's selfish journey or may seem like a "surf flick". It seems to me to be much deeper than that and since it has effected me strongly enough to write about it and share it with you then obviously it is causing a REVOLT. Nary a political statement in the whole film but instead the message is one of containing our old friend, "Inspiration.
Watch the video if you get time in your "busy day". Its under 5 minutes long. Watch the whole thing, absorb and reflect. What does it stir in you? Are there fires that need to be rekindled. Unfinished business. Missions that need a "Complete" stamp or new roads to explore? Whatever it is, I wish you the best of luck on your journey and thank you in advance for your gift of inspiration.
